LINER INSTALLATIONS
Tank liners can be installed to all structures in any shape and size. They are also designed for differing applications whether it be chemical or water commonly used in cracking or leaking concrete and steel tanks to preserve the structure rather than replacing saving time and money. Choosing a liner provides for more versatility in a concrete tank when compared to the use of paint or sprayed on applications. As the tank naturally moves these applications crack whereas the liner moves with the tank providing longevity.
We use Durasmart 400 Advanced TPO tank liner material. Durasmart 400 tank liner material has many important characteristics that make it ideally suitable for water tank applications. It is a Reinforced Advanced Thermoplastic Polyolefin material (TPO) and is potable certified to AS/NZS 4020. It does not contain any plasticisers like PVC, which could leach out causing shrinkage or contamination.
Durasmart is a reinforced material that contains no harmful BPA materials. Additionally, Durasmart does not leave a PVC smell taste or taint to the water like PVC liners can do. It has excellent UV resistance which is imperative in an open top tank. Please note- Durasmart is a polyolefin material that is sensitive to Chlorine. It is suited for roof water, creeks, bores etc and chlorinated town water up to 2ppm. Do not shock dose your tank or use excessive amounts of Chlorine, we supply different types of liners for that application.
Before we can commence with quoting or lining, it is important to note that your tank must be structurally sound. The tank liner will stop leaks (waterproof) within the tank but will not provide structural strength. If the tank cannot support the load of a full tank of water, then you should not fit a tank liner until suitable structural repairs have been made.
